Ep 27: How Can I Get More Comfortable in Front of the Mic When Podcasting?

One word: practice. Talking to yourself in front of a mic can feel pretty uncomfortable to do. Our host Andrew Delmar is 27 episodes deep and he still doesn’t feel natural doing this, but he understands that all hosts go through this, and the best way to overcome it is to practice over and over. There are still some things that’ll help take some of the pressure off, like post-production editing. Scripts and loose outlines can also really help relax you. Do whatever you need to do to take the edge off.

Key Points From This Episode:

  • Practice is the only way you can get comfortable in front of the mic.
  • What is important to understand about getting behind the mic.
  • Things that can take the pressure off.
  • How tough days make the easy ones even easier.
