We all have a mini Sherlock Holmes inside of us trying to solve some sort of mystery, whether you’re trying to figure out who stole your chocolate out of the freezer or what happened to the Zodiac Killer, this little obsession that some of us entertain has a quick fix and it’s called a “true-crime podcast”.

Finding a True Crime Podcast that will fulfill all of your mystery needs might be harder than you thought, as there are quite a few options out there for you to choose from. So, we’ve decided to share our Top 15 True Crime Podcasts with you to help get you started!

Dr. Death

Do you trust your Doctor? Well, Dr. Death is also known as Doctor Christopher Duntsch “the best” neurosurgeon from Dallas. Dr. Dunsch has a small fetish of doing back surgery, helping his patients get rid of their back pain some in a less conventional way. Host Laura Beil discusses the horrors of misdiagnoses and a surgeon who has absolutely no idea what he’s doing.

Serial

Serial is one of the most well-known podcasts out there. Season 1 was released back in October 2014 and since then has sent shockwaves across the nation with their investigations. Host, Sarah Koenig, follows one story at a time and devotes an entire season to it. Each season is filled with plot twists and turns as well as quite a few characters that help guide the story. You won’t be able to guess the end till you get there.

Jensen & Holes: The Murder Squad

Retired Cold Case Investigator Paul Holes and Investigative Journalist Billy Jensen make a perfect crime-solving team. Each week they take listeners on a trip as they try to find more information about unsolved murders, unidentified remains, and missing person cases. They use any method they can get their hands on, anything from old-fashioned detective work to the latest technology and most importantly their Murder Squad (Listeners sending them tips and theories).

It’s the perfect combo, wine, and true crime. Sitting on your couch or doing a little housework with a big glass of wine to help with the nerves you get from all of the horrors in the world. Kari Martin and Caitlin Cutt hosts of “White Wine True Crime” dives headfirst into the world of true crime sometimes adding jokes as dark as the stories they tell. Spend an hour each month just enjoying their stories.

Crime Junkie Podcasts

If you’re reading this blog it’s possible to assume that you might already be a crime junkie or well on your way. Just like the host of the Crime Junkie Podcast, Ashley Flowers can’t get enough of true crime and discusses a different crime each episode. She also ensures that you receive all of the important updates or follow-ups even after the episode is done.

Payne Lindsey a former documentarian and amateur investigator decided to create a podcast where she investigates unsolved disappearances, focusing on a different case each season. One of her most gripping seasons was about Tara Grinstead that up and vanished 13 years ago. Since Payne took the case she has uncovered some new evidence, but you’ll have to tune in to find out what happens.

Brain Reed the host tells the story of a man investigating the son of a wealthy family who brags that he has gotten away with murder.
