International Podcast Day

Date: September 30, 2021
Event: Virtual

Every year on the 30th of September, podcasters and podcast enthusiasts from all over the world will come together to celebrate International Podcast Day

The year 2014 saw the inception of National Podcast Day, where the day was celebrated with six hours of podcast broadcasting. But the power of podcasting was too large for just a national day, and so come 2015, with a little rebranding magic, the first official International Podcast Day had its debut. And it’s grown from strength to strength with every passing year! The core purpose of the day is to celebrate the power of podcasts, and ever since that inaugural event, hundreds of hours of audio have been broadcasted in celebration, by podcasters from nearly 70 countries, from every corner of the globe.

Moving forward, the International Podcast Day team will no longer be creating a live streaming event. The team behind the event has made the difficult decision to step to the side and enjoy the day of celebration just like everyone else.

But do not worry, the team is not going away. They will be celebrating alongside the community and will still be managing our social media channels. But they still encourage all podcast fans to continue to find unique and creative ways to celebrate the day.

And finally, in October…

October

She Podcasts Live 2022

Date: October 11-14, 2022
Place: Washington, D.C.
Event type: In Person and Virtual

She Podcasts Live is the world’s largest gathering of women podcasters, audio content creators, story tellers, and more. This conference offers women audio creators a chance to learn and experience community in an environment created just for them.

Through their Facebook group, She Podcasts Live has created a vibrant, thriving community, and this live event gives their members the opportunity to connect, either in person or virtually.

These conferences, as well as the online group, are a safe space for women to ask questions and learn and grow from each other and is a really empowering environment for women audio creators.

The bulk of this year’s conference’s content will be focused on the stages of growing a podcast – beginning, “tweaking” or refining, growth, reaching specific goals, community outreach and an “untrack” for those who want to socialize and participate in some fun or enrichment activities.

There are six tracks in all, so definitely something for everyone! There will also be self-care opportunities and other workshops to keep your wellness up and your spirits high! You can take a look at all the tracks, and watch last year’s highlights here.

You can register to book your spot here.

Closing Thoughts

There really is nothing quite like interactions with like-minded people. And it’s even better when it’s podcasts bringing us together! And that’s why we love podcast events!

Whether they’re in-person, or face-to-face via the power of technology and the Internet, being able to talk to others on the same journey as you, who face the same challenges gives us the courage and motivation we need to keep pushing forward.

And these podcast events are also just a great opportunity to encourage others, and ourselves, in the adventure that is podcasting. Besides all the amazing networking opportunities and the chance to forge connections with fans and fellow podcasters alike!

So whether you’re able to attend in-person or via a virtual ticket, podcast events are an incredible way to keep connected to others in the industry and to keep learning and growing from the greats in the field.

So mark those calendars, get your go bags ready (ours are always packed and ready to go!) with the above dates and get ready for a boost to your podcasting goals.
